Clinical Excellence
Clinical excellence sits at the heart of Jesmund Care. Our homes are clinically strong and well led, supported by robust governance systems and regular audits. EEach home has strong links with the GP and the local Care Home Support Team, holding weekly GP reviews and six-weekly multidisciplinary meetings, while also seeking their advice whenever needed. We make prompt referrals to specialist services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Tissue Viability Nursing, ensuring residents receive expert input in wound management, nutrition, medication and other clinical priorities.

Staff receive continuous training across all mandatory areas, including the Care Certificate, safeguarding, infection control, medication safety, fire safety and health and safety, ensuring skills remain current and care standards consistently high.

In addition, we deliver an enhanced training programme covering areas such as nutrition and hydration, wound management, dementia awareness, mental health support and end of life care, enabling our teams to provide safe, compassionate and clinically informed care at all times.
